Mini Book

I saw a tutorial for a mini book on Split Coast Stampers. Here is the link info http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/resources/tutorials/pull_out_book/ I liked the way the inserts folded out but wanted a different way to put the cover together. A very kind friend let me borrow her Zutter Bind it All and this is what I came up with. I made this book a few months ago and have since made many various styles with different bindings. The coil binding is my favorite so far. I have now added the Zutter to my Christmas list. I think I'll be making many more of these in the future. This one measures 4" x 4". They are addictive. I'm now working on a larger version.

Birthday In Blue...

Here is a Birthday card I came up with. I was trying out a bunch of different techniques on this one. I used a brayer, sponges, a bunch of different stamps, pop dots etc. I will try this with some other color combinations in the future.

My Messy Desk

I have to keep my craft room really neat. When I'm not in there working I have to put everything away, or Kit will get into it and that will come to no good. However, when I'm in there working it gets very messy and of course Kit wants to know exactly what I'm doing. Here she is checking out my very messy desk during one of my crafting sessions.

Another Christmas Card

I saw the layout for this Christmas card in Cardmaking & Papercraft Issue #46 (UK magazine from last Christmas). It was done with Shimmer spray. I decided to do my own version of it to see what I could come up with. Here is my take on the card.

Crazy few weeks...

It has been a little crazy around here the last couple of weeks. I had a big class of 20 to prep for and then there was the BC's Creative Expo on Nov. 7th and 8th. Anyhow I did manage to take a few photos of Kit during the madness and get one or two of my own projects done. The first pic is of Kit helping me prep for my class of twenty.

The next pic is of her attacking my Paper Trimmer.

More Cards...

Here are a couple of more cards I made in the spring. The first one is using a rubber Map stamp by All Night Media. I used water color pencil Golden Brown and Versa color Bark Ink to get the aged look on the map. The second one I used a sailboat stamp from Inkadinkado Coastal Set.

Dinosaurs....

I made these back in April. I found this Basic Grey Archaic line of paper at Scrap Arts (see link on side) in the Spring. I just love it. I have made many different versions of this card. The Palm Tree is from Cricut Cartridge Doodlecharms (I colored them with Copics). I cut the dinosaurs out of the paper. Embossed the dino with clear fine detail embossing powder and used pop dots to make him stand out

Finally...

I finally found some pics of projects I did earlier this year. This is one I made up for Valentine's Day. I stamped a flourish on the base underneath. Then embossed the Love stamp on vellum ( from Autumn Leaves, Rhonna Farrer Love with a Flourish set) with Garnet pearl lustre Embossing powder. The glitter strip down the side was made with Glitter Ritz Microfine glitter (Bronze, Rose Copper, and I think Merlot) double sided tape from Be Creative and double heart punch.

Dream Card

This is a card I made a few months ago. The pics aren't the greatest. I used several different stamps from different sets on this one.

Kitten update

Slow week, haven't had a lot of time for crafting. I did get a few projects started. As always Kit was right there to help. She was on the table while I was using some pop dots which she immediately tried to eat. When I tried to take it away from her she jumped back missed the table and landed in the garbage can. Wish I had video of that, she bounced out of there so fast I thought she was Tigger. Then she jumped up on my desk while I had a cricut mat out. FYI cat hair....not so easy to clean off a cricut mat LOL. Kit leaves cat hair everywhere. But she is sooooo cute we don't really mind.

Christmas Cards

I have been working on my Christmas cards for about a month now. I started with the stamps I wanted to use and then built the design around them. The first one is a Snowman Stamp from Inkadinkado. I colored it with my Prisma color markers. I used a glitter gel pen on the snowflakes but it is hard to see in the pictures.
The second card is a Santa stamp from Rubber Stampede. I colored it with Prisma markers. I used a glue pen to add the glitter. I then used Diamond Glaze on his glasses.

Seaside Card

I just got a new stamp set called "Seaside" by Clear Art Stamps. This is my first project with the set. I think it turned out ok. Kit only tried to eat it once LOL.
This is my first post. Still getting this blog set up. Trying to figure out a few things. Will add more as I get this all worked out. Thanks for stopping by.
