Busy Week

I've had a very busy week this last week and the only project I had a chance to do was the challenge over at skrapnchat. I did however get lots of goodies purchase at Scrap Arts . Lots of new papers came in this week and all kinds of other goodies. Got the new deep cut blade for my cricut and I can't wait to try that. I have to work the rest of the weekend but Monday I get the day off. I know I will spend most of that in my craft room. So I should have lots more to post on Tuesday & Wednesday. I also have two more dates for my Everyday Card Class in March.
Sunday March 1st
2:00pm - 4:00pm
Sunday March 15th
2:00pm - 4:00pm
Here is a picture with all the samples together. Not the greatest picture but there are better ones on older posts.

Another Challenge

I did another Scrapbook Page challenge from Skrapnchat this week. The challenge was 1 picture, two word title, scalloped edge (hard to see but up the right side of picture mat), journalling & and something from your stash of goodies that you had forgotten you had. Mine is the silver butterfly bead. The picture is one I took last spring. The stamps are Basic Grey Flourished Edges. I printed the Title out on my printer.

Kit Pages

I made this LO last summer. I've been so busy making cards and mini albums, It has been 6 months between pages. Anyway I really like this 2 page LO, thought I'd share it. It's about what a little Monkey Kit can be.

Kitten helping me again....

I had so much fun creating the Scrapbook page last week. I have been sorting through lots of pictures and deciding what LO's to do next. I started on last night at midnight. I had all the pictures on the page and I got up for one minute to cut something on the cricut, turned back to my desk to find kitten had decided to help me. This is how she keeps the pictures in place on the page since she can't use glue. :)

Chillin!

I finally did a scrapbook page. It has been six months since I have done one. I did one of the challenges over at Skrapnchat . It could prove to be addictive. The challenge was use 2 photos, one word title, stars or flowers, 3 brads only and something red. (note the red brad in one of the stars lol). I'm thinking I need to do some more. The pp is from Basic Grey Archaic line. I used Alphalicious cricut cartridge for the letters and George cartridge for the stars, some are popped up with foam dots.

Organizing My Space

I have spent the last couple of weeks trying to re organize my craft room. It is a slow process. I am trying to get it done by the end of the month. When it is finished I will post some pictures. Kit has been helping me of course. Here she is inspecting one of the drawers of my desk. She seems to think I don't need everything that's in there, and if I just got rid of a few things she could get in there and play.

Last sample for class

I was really stuck on this one. I just couldn't think of what I wanted to do. Everything I tried I disliked. Finally I thought, I'm just going to make it simple and plain. So this is what I came up with. A card for any day. The patterned paper is from Crate Paper Sweet Branch Collection called Cherish. I used some bling and a glitter pen here and there. The "A little note" stamp is from the Kewpie stamp set by Clear Art Stamps.

Everyday Card Class

Here are some samples from my other card class I will be teaching at Scrap Arts in North Vancouver in January and February.
For the Love is a Wonderful thing card, I used "Flourish Edges" stamps by Basic Grey and the "Love is a Wonderful thing" is from "Cherish" set from Clear Art Stamps. The sailboat stamp is from Inkadinkado and the flourish stamp in the Thank You card is by Autumn Leaves. The purple Thinking of You card that I posted a few days ago will also be part of this class. One more to go....I will post as soon as it is ready.
Here is the link for the Scrap Arts Blog and all info on classes and how to contact them.

Fairyland Stamp Set

The name of the new stamp set by Clear Art Stamps I bought on Monday is Fairyland. They now have it up on their website http://www.craftysecrets.com/ . I thought I'd post their pic here for you to see. They have so many cute stamp sets and I have a lot of them but I think I may need more.

New goodies

I had to go to Scrap Arts today to drop off a couple of my card samples for my next class. While I was there I had to buy a new stamp set that just came in . It is from Clear Art Stamps by Crafty Secrets. I'm not sure of the name of it. It is brand new and not on their website yet. I don't see a name for it on the package either. Anyhow it is a large set with Fairies and Birds and mushrooms etc. I also got another cuttlebug embossing folder "Floral Screen". When i was out the other night I also picked up the "Rock Star" stamp set by Inkadinkado. I can't wait to try these new items. I will post some samples as soon as I have tried these.

My take on this card

I saw this card (follow this link http://www.twopeasinabucket.com/pg.asp?cmd=display&layout_id=1428259&f=n) over at two peas in a bucket. I loved it so much I had to try making one of my own. I will try this one again with different theme's and shapes. For this one I used shape's I cut out with cricut and embossed with cuttlebug folders. I used versa color inks to color embossed areas.

Finished Valentine Samples

I finally finished the Valentine class samples. Here is a pic of the Black and Red Glitter Heart card and the Heart Tag. The other pics are in a previous post. I am very happy with the way they turned out. The stamps for the tag are, the heart is from a set called Cherish and the key is from a set called Hardware , both stamp sets are Clear Art Stamps from Crafty Secrets. The other stamp on the tag is Flourish Edges by Basic Grey. The Glitter I used on the black and red card are Black and Fire Red by Glitter Ritz Micro fine Glitter by In The Making Enterprises.
As you can see Kit really liked the tag. Here she is trying to eat it....

Kitten at it again....

Ok I don't know what it is about this paper trimmer that Kit likes so much. Every time I get it out she has to sit on it, and of course attack the paper. I think she just might be jealous that I'm paying more attention to the trimmer. I have many pictures of her attacking both the trimmer and the paper.
Here are the samples for my Valentine Card Class. I'm almost done. I will be teaching this class once in January and hopefully once in February as well. The red and black glitter heart card is not quite finished. Also there will be a gift tag taught as well I will re post a picture of the red and black heart card when it is finished, as well a picture of the tag. The patterned paper used in the pink Be Mine Card is from Basic Grey Two Scoops. The Love stamp on the bright pink card is from Crafty Secrets.

What to do with a Cricut Cartridge Box

Last fall at Scrap Arts we had a contest. We were given an empty Cricut Cartridge box to see what we could do with it. This is what I did with mine. All the entries were different and beautiful. I covered this one completely with Mulberry paper and then decorated it with flowers, buttons, brads, rhinestones etc. The Believe, Dream, Love stamps are from Crafty Secrets. The picture inside is one I took from my balcony of sunrise one morning many years ago.

Happy New Year

We'll I hope everyone had a wonderful Holiday Season. One of my resolutions is to update this blog more often. I have been so busy the last 6 weeks or so I haven't had a chance to do much with the blog. I did get lots of crafting goodies for Christmas. My hubby spoiled me as usual.

Here is a pic of what I got, along with Kit checking it out of course. I can't wait to get started on some new projects.
I'm teaching a couple of classes at Scrap Arts in January so I hope to have the samples up in a few days. Happy New Year to All.
