Isn't she cute!!!!

I just love taking pictures of Kit. She can be a very patient model most times. This time she just wanted to sniff the camera. Fortunately I always shut the flash off when she is around the camera. It has a very bright flash and I don’t want to bother her eyes. I do end up with some very dark or blurry pictures but I can usually fix most of it in photoshop.

Here is a picture I took on Canada Day. It is a little blurry but my zoom lens doesn’t have anti shake built in and neither do I (LOL), I also don’t have a tripod yet. Hmmm, I think I’ll put that on my wish list.

Well I’m off to my studio to pack up my stuff for the class I'm teaching tomorrow. Have a great Sunday everyone. Until next time, Happy crafting everyone!

Three down, one to go...

I finally made the third sample for my "Aged & Distressed" class.  I still need to make one more sample for this class.  I hope to be able to get it done this weekend.
For this card I used Bazzill card stock Palo Verde & French Vanilla.  The patterned paper I used was Basic Grey Cappella "Bravo". I tore it distressed it with Tim Holtz distress inks Tattered Rose & Peeled Paint.  I used the tattered rose ink to stamp a text stamp on the pink paper.  The pearls I used were white and I colored them a salmon pink prisma marker.
When Kit isn't "helping" me with my crafting she likes to stretch out and relax.  I couldn't resist snapping a quick pic of her.  She likes to sleep like this when it's really hot out.

Until next time, Happy Crafting everyone!

On a roll...

I love my new craft room so much I've been in there every chance I get.  Here are 3 more cards I made last week.  The first is done using the surfboard stamp by Local King.  The background which is hard to see in the photo is seashells out of the Crafty Secrets Seaside set.  The image has been colored with my prisma markers (sorry I have no idea which ones I used).
This card is the same layout as the Father's Day card I made last month but I changed it up just a bit and antiqued it more and it will be part of my Aged & Distressed class in August. The information for the stamps can be found in my June 20th post.  The Discover stamp is from a Jillibean Soup stamp set.  The Ink colors I used for distressing are Tim Holtz distress inks scattered straw, vintage photo and walnut stain.
This last card is a done with a flower stamp from the crafty secrets stamp set Wildflowers and the patterned paper is from the Kioshi line by Basic Grey.
Thanks for visiting my blog.  Until next time Happy Crafting everyone!!

When life gives you lemons.....

..make cards.  Well that is what you can do if you get lemon stamps too!!!  I made a set of cards with the Life, Love & Lemons stamp set by Flourishes.   I posted dates and times for the classes in a post on June 27th so you can check there for more info.  Of course I bought all these stamps at Scrap Arts

The only stamp that is not from the Lemons set is the Hello stamp,  It is from the Greetings from Wonderland stamp set by Crafty Secrets.  The patterned paper on these cards is all the same and it is called Cabbage Rose by Girls Paperie.  The background on the Hello card was stamped with versamark.
The colors I used on the Lemons, life, love card were dandelion & pear tart by momento.  I love making my own patterned paper when I can't find anything else to go with my design.  (with the amount of patterned paper I have you wouldn't think that would be a problem, but trust me it is!!! LOL).  For the Got any Juice card I just followed the tutorial on Splitcoast stampers.  OK I think this post is full and it is time to start another one.  I'm sure it won't take me long to do.
Thanks for visiting my blog!!

Seashore Settings

Well my first class for these cards is filling up fast, but not to worry it is being offered a few times this summer.  Here are individual pictures of 3 of the cards in this class.

These cards have been done using 2 different stamp sets Seaside from Crafty Secrets & A Guiding Light from Flourishes.  I had fun making these cards, there is a lot of coloring involved and I used my watercolor pencils for most of it.

The striped patterned paper on this card is from the Capella line by Basic Grey.  Love, love, love this paper..

The third card is a CASE of one from Crafty Secrets. The sky is done with Momento ink, the water was done with a  brayer and a couple of colors of Color Box ink. I used watercolor pencils on the seashells.
Well that's it for now.  I'll post more in a day or two. Until then, Happy Crafting Everyone!!!

Happy Canada Day!!!

Hope everyone is enjoying their Canada Day celebration. I’m waiting for the fireworks. I can usually see them from my balcony so I don’t have to worry about heading out to find a good spot to watch them. I spent yesterday in my studio making cards. Of course I ran out of my favorite adhesive before I was finished. Then my other glue runner ran out as well.

I had to work today, but that is ok because I had to buy more adhesive and since I was working on a holiday I decided to treat myself to a few new inks and an embossing folder. Here is one of the cards I made yesterday. I think this one is cute for Canada Day. The stamp is from Bombshell stamps and I colored her with my Prisma markers. The card stock is bazzill vanilla and the patterned papers are by chatterbox ink Frosting Swirls and Candy Stripe. Well going to go watch the fireworks soon and hope Kit doesn’t get too freaked out by them.
Until next time, happy crafting everyone!!!
